The Mask's Perspective
Her arms are scared with knife wounds.
I look at her and see the pain in her eyes and the hurt she insists to hide.
I see right through it.
She is in a mental cage of confusion, agony, and discomfort.
Through her eyes she screams, wishing someone would hear her silent struggle and see past the mask she wears everyday.
But I do see right through the fake mask.
She needs to know that she has beauty deep down within her and her confidence does exist, it's not extinct.
She has walls she surrounds herself with.
When will she stop and realize there is so much greater within her?
She is NOT pathetic.
She is NOT a piece of trash.
She is NOT a hoe or a slut she was once called.
Within her resides love, beauty, peace, and strength.
She is royalty!
She is a Queen!
She needs to know that her heads should always be held up high.
Believing in yourself is still teaching her how to build confidence and how to strengthening her success.
