Masquerade
The world.
Humans.
Pretenders.
We all dance to the same song.
We all hide our faces, to quote the mystery.
Everyone, hidden behind their masks.
Hidden behind their lies.
They imitate one another.
Not one diverse personality in the room, all together like toy soldiers.
It's a show, and everyone is acting.
Take off your mask, show yourself.
I wont follow, I wont pretend.
This façade is smothering me.
This sword is slicing through the words you all say in unison.
My feet will dance to my own song.
My heart will beat to it's own rhythm,
No longer will I take place in your perfect world.
No longer will I plaster a smile on my face.
No longer will I be part of your masquerade.
