Masquerade Ball

I always told my parents

how I wished for a masquerade ball.

The thought of how alluring and seductive

I'd be, if no one knew who I was.

As I grew I realized

you cannot do what's been done.

As everyone already had their masks on

And I was not aware because my own

had skewed my vision.

IZZYbelbel

I write poems and lyrics when my emotions grow too high for me to bottle up. As an introvert I struggle to share with people and find the page more useful. I'm a college student studying film. I love animals and playing rugby!
