Master Of Ceremonies
if there’s a master of ceremonies
in poetry
then let it be ME
so I can elevate minds
and arouse emotions
that you thought were hidden
in the darkest places within
and nowhere to be found.
I can strike punishment upon
your past and make it eternally bleed.
I curse my enemies to the grave.
Bring them back to life
And teach them how to live and love,
Only with words!
That’s possible
It’s no lie
my poetry will make you cry!
If there’s a master of ceremonies
In the spoken word
Then let it be ME
who brings meaning
to liberation in your life.
Let it be ME
who unchains you from the captivity
of your past
and reveal to you lessons
you were suppose to learn.
Let it be ME
who turns your tears to sunshine
and your cloudy days
to joyous rain drops because
that’s possible with words
Yes
my poetry will make you cry!
But after those tears
There will be joy.
but if there’s a master of ceremonies
In ME
then let it be God!
