The Master of Poetry

The unfiltered truth?

How do I describe myself

In a few lines and some rhymes

When I can't stop thinking

about the rest of my life

Maybe I could mention my religion

Or my lack thereof

My life in a family

Who fears him above

But wait, is the meter right?

Is my rhyme scheme too boring?

Should I try something else?

How about I tell a story

I'm a master of poetry

That's what I'll tell them

Just look at the way

I've colored some letters

Do you see the meaning in that?

Hell yeah that was deep

I might even swear too

So others might see

That I can write poetry

I'm a virtuoso says some

I've colored my letters

But please, I'm not quite done

I can write in weird meters without any rhymes at all, they don't rhyme

I can go off topic on a weird analogy; a bird that breaks free from a nest of ideas

Oh hey, what if I included some onomatopoeias

BANG POW BOOM WHACK SLAM

There we go, I think I've added enough filters

To say exactly what I mean

But in the end,

Have I showed them me?
