Matchmaking

Psyche lay there with a tear in her eye,

As she looked down at her phone and wondered why,

She matched with each and every guy.

Talking would never persist,

As her desperate attempts hurt her wrist,

All of it started to make her pissed.

Now Aphrodite was not pleased,

Psyche had more likes than she had seized,

It was a number that hissed and teased.

So Eros was sent to correct the mess,

But Psyche's beauty did surely impress,

He swiped on her in almost pure distress.

With no picture or name attached,

She swiped right and they quickly matched,

The conversion was amazing and outmatched.

Psyche wondered about the mystery man,

He was sweet and funny and her heart ran,

So she did a quick media scan.

She knew her chances were slim,

And as hours passed she turned grim,

But suddenly she had found him.

She knew his identity in an instant,

She asked him and suddenly he became distant,

His messages suddenly became inconsistent.

She cried and sobbed wanted to die,

The man she loved had told her goodbye,

She couldn't help but wonder why.

Aphrodite swiped up this chance,

And messaged Psyche at first glance,

In a vengeful trance.

Desperate Psyche did plea,

She wanted him an unbearable degree,

So Aphrodite gave her a challenge of three.

By now Eros was calm and wanted her back,

But his mother was set on her attack,

Eros's attempts suddenly became slack.

The tasks were hard but Psyche was strong,

She proved Aphrodite wrong,

Psyche wanted Eros all along.

Eros and Psyche were meant to be,

And together again, they felt free,

But it wasn't through a message,

They met in reality.
