Matter of time: The World

“Pick up your cross and follow Me”

Where do you think you’re going?

We’re going to Calvary to be crucified

The world will do its job so get used to it

It won’t be happy until the knowing

That we have croaked and died

As long as you are with me, you know me in you

And your demise will bring great satisfaction

You will be made again the laughing stock

As they spit on you being the main attraction

Nothing new under the sun, things be like they were

Prepare for the battle with weapons of Love

You’ll be victorious with the ability to forgive

As you are empowered from within and above

Pick up your cross and it won’t be heavy

Someone will be with you all the Way

To share the heavy load and to encourage

And give you able strength for each day
