Matt's Song

In the darkness of my room

On a January night

We pull the covers up

And we pretend to hide

It's cold enough to kill

But we listen carefully

It sends shivers down my spine

You will change me

I'm off to cross this bridge myself

Stepping softly on our wealth

'Cause this bridge ain't made of sticks and stones

No we built it out of solid gold

There is no wood that I can burn

Even to keep my trembling fingers warm

In the empty space that's all around

Even the big bad wolf can't blow it down

No, the big bad wolf can't blow it down
