Pull away and look away toward the street

Every moment we spend lights a smile

And I can stand being without him, not even a mile

Warm hugs ignite a fire

And when he says I love you I know he’s not a liar

Moments where the world is spinning to fast

Or when I doubt that we will last

He reassures me with all his hopes

And his plans to elope

My mother yells and restrains my mind
