Maw Maw's Hands
To the strongest and best woman I will ever know.
At first sight Maw Maw’s hands may seem crippled and weak.
She flinches when you touch them and her grip is meek.
But her hands are a symbol of the woman inside,
Although burdened with her limits, she’s still strong with love.
When opening something seems too great,
It’s only after hesitation that she will ask.
Don’t let this mislead you for you shall understand.
It’s not what she can’t do but what she can.
Maw Maw’s hands had and still have the strength to raise a loving family right,
To wipe away tears, and tell you everything will be alright.
We come together in prayer,
And when we need each other, we’re always there.
So if her hands don’t appear all that strong,
Remember they’re always full of love
And for me that’s more than enough
