May

Air too thick to breathe.

August stood still like a tree

Until the the breezes of hell rose.

Across the surface, May lays soaked.

Eyes wide open, but no sense of life.

August’s lips fanned out sorrow

Water surged May’s soul..

Still as stone, she mimics the

ones who weighted her body.

August and June, shaking before her.

Disturbing the surface from the river.

May’s chest broken,

They couldn’t hear her heart.

June and August scooped up May.

Like the summer passing.

Water engulfed her breathing

Mouth and Nostril.

Embracing the rock she put on herself.

“Just Like April”

Quiet and Steady.

Heartbroken Darkness,

Her eyes would stay half shut.
