May 13 is Prom day

May 13 is prom day

How do I tell my mother that I want to attend prom?

I don’t even have a date

Surely I would be allowed to go if I have every room spotless clean!

May 13 is prom day

She laughed and humiliated me

Didn’t even notice the hard work I spent cleaning the house

May 13 is prom day

I don’t have money for a dress, or shoes, or makeup

If only fairy god mother’s existed

May 14

Today is laundry day
