May 23rd

Jacob asked me today: “so, are you over him now?”

Because I’ve been spending most of my time with my rock now.

It’s Hannah’s birthday today. I was invited to her party.

I didn’t go though, because I knew you both would be there.

And eventhough i’m not in danger  of bursting into tears when I see you anymore

And even though I don’t feel like throwing punches anymore.

It was still two years of my life.

Two long, happy, amazing years.

That were probably a big mistake

But one I will never, ever regret.

So no, I’m not really over you yet.

Then again, maybe I won’t ever be completely over you.

Maybe my heart will always clench a bit whenever I see you.

Maybe it will always sting a bit.

But you know what?

I’m not the only one going through this.

And there are people in worse pain out there.

And I seriously doubt this will be the last time I get hurt

Or that this will be the worst I will hurt.

So in eleven days I will say goodbye to you

And start a brand new chapter in my life.
