May Day

May, the month my life changed forever.

The doctor diagnosed it as cancer...

What did she do to have to go through this pain?

I had always thought I would be able to see her when shes old with a cane.

Chemo and radiation was her method of treatment,

it was all so new, I had no idea what it all meant.

She felt so sick and tired everyday,

I watched helplessly as her hair fell out...never to be able to turn gray.

Mom, I so wish I could do all of this for you,

I love you, I love you, I love you, I really really do.
