maybe

And maybe if you’re not there yet
Maybe you will be one day
But it will be with someone else
And they’ll love you and you’ll love them
And maybe if you’re not ready
This will prepare you
For when you can give your heart
There’ll be someone giving you a fresh start
Maybe it’ll be easier for you to give it away.
And maybe if it hurts now
Maybe it’ll hurt less later
And maybe if I’m not the one
I know there’ll be another taker.
You taught me a lot, about life, about people
I learned who I am, who you are
I felt love. It was great but it hurt
I felt empathy. It healed my hurt
But no matter what
I will always remember us this way ben
but everything good eventually ends
