maybe


I think I over use the word maybe

Maybe I don’t

I think I like it because it’s never 100% sure

There’s always a possibility

Maybe he hates me

Or maybe not

It leaves wiggle room

For me to imagine all the “maybes” in the world

 

I think I’m afraid

Afraid to lose the maybe in my vocabulary

Am I too harsh? Too opinionated? Too cocky?

I have to have the maybe

Maybe I’m right

Because saying just I’m right

Sounds too…confident
