MAYBE

Maybe you won't take me seriously Maybe you see me as a game Maybe someday you'll wake up and notice my dreams with you... Filled with wonders and lights A happily ever after... but that happens in stories Love never works So this "so called love" you speak of The endless compliments Smiling from cheek to cheek Do you really mean it or is this a game? Do you even understand how much I yearn for you? How much you mean to me? The unexplainable feeling, yet my heart beats for you I write to you every day, endlessly. Your name scattered and filled across my journal "You. you. YOU. Please YOU". The obsession I have- That's what you do... You make me go crazy. But really, you don't care It isn't a maybe anymore. I know you see me as a game Someone you flick like flint off a shirt The "happily ever after" I hoped Only happens in stories... never real life So I hate you I hate the way you lie I hate the way you speak I hate the way you make me smile I hate the fact that I like you I really do. I despise myself for it. But you'll never know that
