Maybe
Mirror image
But both reflections are not the same
Time and time again, I feel a certain type of pain
Thinking so much that my ears start bleeding
Can't fall alseep
I'm afraid of dreaming
As if we overcome our desires seem as though we only prolong the pain
I isolate myself from the noise
Only to find out my own speaking is worse
Maybe it's not the voice
Yet, the sound of it makes me cry
Maybe I have to grow a thicker skin
Yet, they find a way to hit me harder
Literally
They have pounded me with wooden sticks, whips, paddles and fists
Though, I did use scissors and box cutters to cut my wrists,
There's a slight difference
They've struck me for being ugly and stupid
My mentality and perception of the world is drowning into confusion
Those nights I've cried to the world, I never felt more alone
So much mental pain that physical pain seemed to be the only escape
Maybe one day, I'll be free of this feeling
Maybe one day, someone would look at me and say "It's going to be okay"
