Maybe

Maybe someday kindness will reign

Maybe someday we will laugh at pain

For it will not exist in this world

But only in our nightmares.

Maybe one day marriages will be a one and only

And no child will feel the pain of being lonely

It will be taught as a myth in schools

As untrue, but poignant as Greek mythology.

Maybe the world will be perfect, maybe it will be chaos.

But until I know for sure, I will try and chase every butterfly that I can.
