Maybe Perhaps
I am not going to be afraid
About doing what’s
Right in my mind
However, you know what they say
That everyone has their own opinion.
I am afraid to do what’s wrong
To somebody else, what they think is right
Don’t we all have a code to live by
But maybe perhaps
It just not right.
I am not going to stand alone
To live what I want
In my minds eyes
Except, sometime people say
That my dreams are too far fetched.
I am standing here all alone
To live what I need, that other people don’t see
Don’t we all have codes to live by
But maybe perhaps
Maybe perhaps
You were always there.
A thousand words to say
A thousand things to fear
A thousand times I think I’m alone
But maybe, maybe, maybe perhaps
I am not afraid to stand up
For what’s right, in my own mind.
