The Maze
I'm frantically moving through twisted halls.
The blank, austerely pure
White
of this labyrinth overwhelms my befuddled mind.
Twisting. Turning. Hallucinating?
Concrete beasts of shadow rear their heads and shake their spears,
appearing and evaporating out of my control.
Are the howls theirs or mine?
I run for any way out.
Out.
I trip. I'm being sucked under by torrents of silent shadow. I close my eyes and hear my silent scream...
I'm back in that padded room I know so well (for now); a prisoner to my own mind.
A prisoner
