Dear future husband, my companion for life
I never thought I'd find love at the young age of sixteen
But that's the best kind of love, a love unforeseen
Together we're unbreakable, no matter our greatest strife
You are the lock to my key, the honey to my bee
The one that makes me strive to be the best version of me
I stand up for what's right and acknowledge my wrongs
I make sure those around never feel they don't belong
You support my decisions and hope for my success
Not undermine my feelings or tell me how to dress
It's always been an adventure, the happiest and no less
From Disneyworld to drive-in theaters, it's truly been the best
I can't imagine taking on the world with anyone else by my side
Someone who understands me, someone who I can confide
You're never shy from showering me love and affection
Yes I know, I'm the world's luckiest girlfriend
From head to toe, you're the definition of perfection
Thank you for coming into my life, you're godsend
On days I don't love myself, a mirror full of flaws
I can always count on you as the one I can call
When I wished I was anyone, anyone but me
You'd reassure me, "you're beautiful, I wish you could see what I see"
You taught me "Face your problems head on, never walk away
Speak your mind always and never be afraid"
My standpoint on the world has always been naive
To trust with no bounds until proven otherwise
Nothing's wrong with the power to believe
It's just better with an ally that won't tell you lies
You made me realize that love isn't a feeling, but rather a choice everyday
To agree or disagree, but love and cherish in every way
But most importantly, you're my freaking best friend
I'll love you forever and always, until the very end.
