Me
You don’t know my name
You don’t know me
Still you judge me, still you hate me
What did I do? What have I done?
I just want to be cool; I just want to have fun.
I want to run or even hide,
I want you to see what is inside.
To see my soul and the secrets I keep,
To see my scars and the reason I weep.
I see you smile and act so cool.
You have so many friends, practically everyone in school.
But still no matter how hard I try,
You don’t want me and I wonder why?
You say those things that cut so deep,
Those things that hurt and make me weak.
You hurt my feelings and push me down,
You replace my smile with a frown.
And so I try to be more like you,
Put on that mask and do as you do.
But I’m nothing like you,
And you’re nothing like me,
I would never hurt you like hurt me.
So if I could change one thing about me,
I wouldn’t change a thing because even though you’ll never see,
I’m exactly how I should be.
