This is me!
The purple stains my lips
A black curls my lashes
A stripped scarf drapes my shoulders
My voice changes
A different accent
A slurred drawl appears
My hair gets pinned up
My nails painted
My clothes pinkified
I walk differently
Stumbling, leaning
Falling
I am not me anymore
I'm Roxy
Roxy Lalonde
An escape from reality
A drunken act
That's all it is, an act
But, I'm good at it
I need this
I need the escape
The friends that come with it.
The love
The excitement
The act is fun
And distracting
The people are
Kind and
Creative
But the act is shunned
Told it is horrible
Pretending to be someone else
I'm not pretending though
This is a part of me
I am Roxy Lalonde
I am Gamzee Makara
I am Stan Marsh
I am Kenny McCormick
I am Kanaya Maryam
I am Karkat Vantas
I am Sollux Captor
I am Dave Strider
And most of all
I am a cosplayer
I can be whoever I want
And YOU can't stop me!
