me

Who says what is perfect?

Who says I am flawed?

Oh, you?

Well, here's what I say;

I say I am me,

and that is all I can be.

I have scars across my skin

To tell a story my mouth cannot begin

I am a smart girl,

strong and mighty.

I am a broken girl,

trashed and scattered.

I am a beautiful girl

big and proud.

Why did you get to decide,

that my story wasn't one that mattered?
