Let others be kittens,

Cute, cuddly, and cowardly,

To have no purpose but to please.

I am a lion,

Independent, smart, and strong.

I am me, myself, and I,

I please no one.

I want to be powerful, in control.

Control of what you ask?

Why me of course.

I am like a footprint in the sand,

I make an everlasting difference.

I am feared by most, and loved by some,

But that doesn’t bother me,

I overstep boundaries, but create my own,

I am my own leader,

And the only person leading me is I.

Is it fair, having to conform to gain acceptance?

I’d rather be a lion and stand for one,

Than to be a kitten and stand for none,
