Me
Constantly stepped on by the feet of lies and lust,
and every time I try to get back up my body is kicked and spat on by love,
for no one notices this wrong like a bullet piercing an innocent mans back in a bad neighborhood,
see I can't talk to anyone because every time I try my words reach their face and then drop as if the weight of my pain too heavy for their light ears,
so I keep to myself,
I find myself always asking is their is anyone that will ever understand me or will my trouble just be forever illegible to the eyes of those that witness me struggle
Why not just write my life story in braille since those supposedly close to me are so blind to things I go through
I make many failed attempts at trying to stay strong, wanting to overcome adversity
This task seems so far out of reach, it may as well be the remote on the far away table I can't get to so that I can change the channel known as my life
Am I worthy of attention, me? A young man that can't even convince his own shadow he is worth following?
