ME

As I reflect on my prior decision, My life starts over like a recapitulation. I feel unsettled like a concerts intermission, Because I remember how they laughed at my condition. I try to remain focused with a conductor’s poise, But the laughter is not music, it is dissonant noise. My mother said don’t let the world steal your joy, But the band on my ship is sinking, (ahoy). My mind is moving FASTER (faster, faster); accelerando! But my body is so slow….[PAUSE]; ritardando. When all this takes place, I try not to break the phrase, by becoming one with my iPod; relaxing in my own space. I rewind the music and listen in suspense, To a foreign sound, so intense, I get it now, I’m convinced, But I must admit, before it did not make sense. Now it’s all coming to me, I can see through the music what life should be. Articulated but untamed, that’s the key, Like Beethoven’s great 5th Symphony. With the realization of the mission, Engraved in my vision, I see the great possibilities of my position. Taught by pain, I now cherish amoroso, I can be loud with freedom-Fortissimo. So when I return from a prologue of hiatus, I speed up my visions tempo, andantino. And come up with the animato drive that I need, I WILL surpass, I WILL succeed.
