Me?

Where I was born doesn't matter

My name doesn't matter.

People tell me what to be

It makes it hard to see

What's the real unfiltered me?

I'm a guy

A male human

I'm occasionally arrogant

I'm smart, and all too well aware of it

I like words, books and stories

Works of fiction or truth

I love teaching

Every opportunity I grasp quickly

I educate,

because what's the use of that knowledge

and that passion otherwise?

I simplify and complicate,

much to the annoyance and chagrin of others

I write

Stories and tales

Truths and confrontations

I read

Stories and tales

Also truths and confrontations

I grow and I learn

I shrink and I teach

I give and lose in equal shares.

I'm me, there's not much to be said for that

But I'm apparently enough.

At least enough for my cat.
