This is me

I am the girl who was twelve years old when she started dragging razors across her skin

because she though it would make the pain stop.

I am the girl who was thirteen years old when she decided she didn't really need to eat

because she was told she was fat, and that wasn't okay.

I am the girl who was fourteen years old when she thought she should kill herself

because she thought anything is better than this life

I am the girl who was fifteen years old when she made her parents cry all the time

because they thought she was going to hurt herself.

I am the girl who fell with her best friend sophomore year of high school

and cried herself to sleep every night for a week and two days.

I am the girl who sits up fighting anxiety every single night of her life

and lives most days sleep deprived because her mind never stops.

I am the girl hasn't cut her self in three years seven months and eleven days

but still thinks about it every single day of her life.

I am the girl who spends every day fighting her inner demons and self issues

just so she can say today I got a little better.

I am the girl who is just now learning how to be happy with who I am as person

and who is just now learning to love herself.

I am the girl who waited three years to tell her best friend she is in love with him

and now they have been in a happy relationship for five months.

I am the girl who overcame a million and one obstacles in her life

and still managed to stand up tall at the end.

Yes, I am that girl.

I am proud to be that girl every day.

I am Emilia. I'm your average anxiety ridden teenager. I fell in love with my best friend, and we are now a happy couple after seven and a half years of friendship. My mom is my best friend, yes I realize that's kind of sad but I don't like people my age.
