Me
She walks through the halls with confidence,
And never looks back at who she was.
She smiles at people she passes,
And hopes to make someone's day brighter.
She has blonde hair that shines in the sun,
And her blue eyes sparkle as she laughs.
She has an all-natural beauty,
And she does not think she is pretty.
She walks up nervously to perform,
And her hands are visibly shaking.
She nods to the piano player,
And starts to sing melodiously.
She watches her humble audience
And they cry, feeling touched by the song.
She finishes her song and smiles,
And feels joy because she sang solo.
She now feels talented and pretty,
And sees herself for who she can be.
She is a loved, beautiful, daring,
And confident girl with new talents.
She radiates with optimism,
And fills herself with self-confidence.
She now feels like she has great value,
And wants others to feel the same way.
She is me, and I am her.
And I will not look back at who I was.
