Me

Darkness is the colour of my days
As I hide from the quiet streets,
So stealthily behind a humid window,
Sheltered by sheets of cotton
Dead with life
And short lived ambitions
Of what tomorrow could have been.

I want to wake up,
I wish to participate,
Though i am forever immobilized by the crushing weight
Of the world formed within the confines of my mind.

I call this pain,
I call this life,
I call this the dawning of a new age,
Should i choose to accept
The invitation of becoming
Me
