Me and Poetry

Daughter of an English teacher from the start, It was easy to see poetry as art. Never did I mind required writing, I actually found it secretly exciting. Though never will I rival Shakespeare’s plays, I could read good poetry for days. The spinning of a sentence into more, With creative, clever language I adore. So though I’ll never be a poet master, I won’t put down my pen and claim disaster.
