me and poetry
take my hand
go have frankfurter roasts
and marshmallow toasts
my heart is ripe with the joy
of life
mindless we'll live
and mindless we'll love
mindless at last we'll die
the world turned on in the lathe of time
the wind blew about
on a sunny day
on a dry plain
you terrifying sprite
take in bite
in my brain
make me write
happy let's live
happy let's love
and happy let's die once more
just sleep holding me close and the night of deep dark death will pass
oh holy poetry
my greatest teacher
hide me in your embrace
lte us walk together
hand in hand
and dwell under the water fall
where shakespeare came to drink
near clear pools
nets of weed
and you my sweet
from head to feet
are glorious in deed
