Me and you

I'm never one or the other with you

Just somewhere in between

Drifting in the middle and...

a. Hiding my screams.

b. Wondering what love means.

c. Waiting to be seen

For who I am and who I wish to be

Completely unnoticed, lost in between

There's room for you in my heart

But I'll keep it hidden in the back

Behind every sad and broken part

Tucked away from your attack

I know why I say I am sorry too much

It's because no one ever say's they are sorry to me

and means it like I would

When you stab me in the back

I'll turn around and apologize

because it's my fault

I let you in and handed you the knife

It's my fault I trusted you with my life

With everything rude you do

and everything mean you say

I'll forgive you and not even think twice

Hate is a choice, so please just be nice

I try every time to write things from your eyes

To see the world from a different perspective

One where happiness isn't just a disguise

And a beautiful smile is just as effective

As a sad song is when I write these lines

I want these words to have meaning

Something deeper in your mind

I want you to question what I may have been feeling

Writing these words redefined

I want your brain to think and your heart to ache

a. as you stare awake

b. ignoring every mistake

c. trying not to let it break

For my words are intensified

When you are unsatisfied

d. contemplating if my feelings are fake

e. surprised at these feelings only words create

f. and with every word you can relate

How am I supposed to fall asleep when you're still awake

How can I leave when you want to stay

I can't say no to a face like yours

I would do everything for you, of course
