Me in the Big Apple

It was a dream

well, it seemed like one.

Hard to believe it was all true,

me in the big apple.

It was a dream

one with snow and ice

one with bright lights

one with passing cars

and lots of people.

It was a dream

the night I saw you

All bundled up in your winter clothes

with a smile so big

it could have lit up the entire city.

Why did we have to say goodbye?

It was a dream

please don't wake me up

take me back

take me back

me in the big apple.
