Me Can Live

Without it I cannot live

Without it I am lost

And without it I am nothing

What could possibly be so powerful?

Would it be the air I breathe?

Or would it be the sun in the sky?

It it none of these

It is in fact

Me, Myself, And I

Who decides: I do

Who determines: Myself

Who does it affect: Me

If I don't let I do its deciding

And Myself do it its determining

Then Me will be at the mercy of what I and Myself let take control

If Others do the deciding

And the World does the determining

Then Me is just a sculpture created without a heart of its own

If Social Class does the deciding

And Money does the determining

Then Me is just lost without hope and at the mercy of fate

And if Family does the deciding

And Fear does the determining

Then Me is trapped and can never soar

But if I decides

Then Myself can determine

What Me will be defined by

If I decides to be different despite how everyone else is

And Myself is determined to be who I wants to be

Then Me will be free to be unique

If I decides to go beyond what Social Class is defined by

And Myself is determined despite any money restraints

Then Me will have hope to be able to achieve any dreams

And if I decides to not let family take control

And Myself is determined to not let fear take over

Then Me will not be trapped and will be able to soar

I decide

Myself determines

Me can live
