Olio - noun.

defined: a mixture of

heterogeneous elements.

me - noun.

defined: ????

i am

an amalgam of rich and

strange elements.

rainbow colored yarn

that cannot be untangled

from its ridiculous blanket.

my scientific universe versus my mythological universe

and

my passive heart versus my fervid, explosive soul

and

my desire for peace versus my desire for equality

and

my need for acceptance versus my need to destroy false gender dichotomies

and

sometimes I am too tired

cogs churning in my heavy mind

while i try to fish for solutions to a world

too fucked up to find its chill
