Me Inside and Out

I love to write poetry

So that I can show people that hidden side of me

That very few people ever get the opportunity to see

The things I keep deep on the inside

Those thoughts, feelings, dreams and ideas that most would rather hide

All the time knowing fully that I have the power of words on my side

With the sure ability to control my diction

I can allow my words to flow freely following no set rules or jurisdiction

Allowing me to capture both my life's reality and my dream's fiction

I am able to share my true self with anyone and everyone around

And I can do this without ever having to make a single sound

To allow those parts of me that normally would be lost to ultimately be found

This is how I can show the full extent of my reality

The full range and perspective of my mentality

So that others may truly know and experience my vitality

It is through my writing that the truth of me and who I am can really be known

So others can see all the lessons that I have learned and all the ways I have grown

These things are revealed through my words, emotions, thoughts and tone

When I write I never feel or have to be scared

By any of the secret things I choose to have shared

Or by any of the hidden parts of me that I have bared

My writing is who I really am

No secrets, hidden truths, lies or spam

My writing is my reality in one grand slam
