To me, From Me (inspired by bra paisley)
If I could write a letter to me
I'd tell myself just who I'd be
I'd prove it to my freshman self with stories of that boy
The one that had you falling hard, but used you as a toy
Remember the times you'd sneak out, in the middle of the night?
Coming home to mom and dad ready for a fight
You couldn't get it through your head, you thought you were so cool
But now i'm here to warn you, you were just a fool
With sophomore year came Partnership
You found somewhere that you could fit
You changed your ways, you proved them wrong
He treated you bad for far too long
It ended in the saddest way
But I'm glad you did not stay
He brought you down, you don't need him
Now it's time to rid your sins
Junior year by far was best
A whole new life with passing tests
A whole new boy who treats you good
The only way a real man should
Better grades, better friends
You're getting closer to the end
Things were changing and I could see
I was becoming who I'd be
The years went by way too fast
It's senior year, my very last
I'm ready to leave, ready to go
You'll be on your own, so just know-
I'm proud of what you've achieved
No one would've ever believed
You'd make it this far and be on your way
Or make it to graduation day
I wish you'd left him sooner
I wish you had known
I wish you would stop stressing
I wish you'd realize how much you've grown.
If I could write a letter to me
