Me, Myself and I
I am the shy, quiet one The one driven to do better than the year before Driven by the feeling of accomplishment and by those who want to see me fail I live for the competition and the feeling from success I sneak in when no one suspects just to see the surprise on their face Faced with may challenges, always doing my best to rise to the occasion Working long hours to prove myself to who, the ones that would want to see me fall on my face For them to not even acknowledge me or greet me as they pass by Living in the moment and not letting anything or anyone stand in my way Not taking anything I have for granted and appreciating those who have supported me Pushing myself past the negativity and words spoken to hurt Ambitious, obsessed, motivated, possessed and consumed Fear of not withholding the same standard of excellence from year to year But knowing that it is alright as long as I did my best and gave it my all Congratulating those who pushed thru ahead of me And giving words of wisdom to those who didn't do as well as they wanted Words of encouragement to keep them going, to keep them driven to do their best I am the one everyone wants to beat in the ring, the one they talk about Everyone wants to know how I do it Well, hard work and dedication, the bond between me and my animals The love I have for them and the love they have for me That's what makes me who I am Be envious if you want to but that will not make you any better today than you were yesterday It's the drive and passion that will make you better, not whether you win or lose, just that you gave it your all Never quit, never give up Give it your all, do your best I am who I am Me, myself and I
