Me, not Him.


I'm not your first, but I will be your last

I know you're first wasn't the best, but I'm here now

I'm here to make you smile and to make you laugh.

He didn't treat you the way you should be treated

That's why I do what I do for you, so that you don't feel beaten.

I know he's scarred you, but he's not here anymore.

I try my best to make you forget the pain he inflicted

Nothing I do can ever get past that, it just always feels like you want more.

But I'm not going anywhere, I'm here to stay

Why? Because I love you.

I'm not leaving you over memories of some old flame

You're not the one to blame.

I'm going to stay, I'm going to fight

I'm going to care for you, and watch you grow.

I'm going to be there when you forget about him,

When thinking about him doesn't cause anymore pain.

He was your first, but he's not gonna stop me from being your last

I'll stay with you, from now till then

All because I love you.
