To me, or not to me

We live in a world dedicated to what makes you look good,

But what would happen if just one person understood.

What it meant to be yourself, in this oh-so filtered generation,

See me! It's I who can change a nation!

This isn't to say that I'm better than anyone,

Just a recognization of what it means to be yourself.

So here's me, a boy who wants everybody to be a someone,

And to show the world that life is more than a dusty book on a shelf.

Here! here! Let's ask the question at be.

Is it "To me, or not to me?"

I'm here to tell the world, that to look good

You have to be someone more than understood.

And that's you.
