Me or You

You're saying there's evidence of my kindness

In the fact that I've never spoken the sour words lying behind my lips

But I thought them all the same,

Cold and biting

Words only a bully would say

And maybe I've been too kind for too long

May'be I've taken care of everyone else when I should've been taking care of myself

And all the hurtful things I could've said are bubbling up

I even considered sending them anonymously

Kids will be kids, as they say

And there is power in such a clearance

Power brimming with an utterly human evil
