Me In Poetry

Poetry was my diary

They were thoughts I'd think daily

When I needed to empty my mind

Poetry would help me unwind

I'd write about my reality

But make it sound like fantasy

It was a way

To run away

I could reach to people through a screen

Without the fear of being seen

Because the words that I said

Would have an impact in their head

I could speak

Without seeming weak

Poetry was my reality

Poetry was home for me
