Me vs. The World

I look around and all I see is the darkness

I look around and all I see is the hate, the deception, and the destruction

I look at them, see all of the evil, and think to myself that I will never be like that

But with each passing day I find that I have the same propensity for evil

I look back and I wonder if I am fated to be evil like them

I turn back and look at them, then at myself

I see the thing that separates me from them

I refuse to be evil

I refuse to give in to the darkness

I choose to be different
