Me As A Whole

I look around slowly,

seeing the vibrant colors of Earth.

I stare at the scenery,

looking for life.

There's a small red dot

In the corner of my eye

I turn toward it, and it's gone.

Fading happiness washes over me

color made me happy

such a strange thing.

The fleeting sense of want; I need the red

I'm a chaser.

I chase the red, the color of life.

I chase all the things I want to be,

I chase all the fleeting colors,

and I am them,

I am the combination of one hundred things

all bright

all vivid and heavily pigmented

they make up all of the things inside me

emotions, actions, thoughts

sometimes you see the goodness

sometimes it gets dark

but at all times, it is color.

I am perfect.

From head to toe,

I am a work of art.

Long brushstrokes of mauve strength

and burgundy kindness

I am wholly a piece of work.

In every possible sense.

I am me, as a whole.
