On Me & You
Walking around town and you think there's nothing wrong with someone
And thinking everything is perfect and nothing's wrong
But in actuality they're barely holding on
Everyone tells me that it's not easy
But with them it's not as hard as other people in our country
Walking out the liquor store the kid get's killed in a drive-by
It was a mistake in identifying that guy
Now seeing wat's happening, witnessing
The people getting killed is the innocent
Now seeing what god sees in his eyes,
Are you happy with the governments lies
What's happening to this world we live in now?
Everyone is getting killed by the dame background
Barely holding on to their lives now
But the one thing I know is true
We can only count on me and you
About to take it to the day's of freedom
Where you could trust your friends
And you wouldn't need to leave them
Believing your family couldn't turn their backs for no reason
I just act like everything's fine when actually bleeding
Down deep inside it's just not right for me to hide my feelings
You gotta open your eye's and start seeing,
What you mind is telling you is not to start believing
But right now tell me are you being benevolent
Starting to see what was right in front of you all the innocents
The discrimination among all the politicians
If you show that your benevolent
Then you're showing your kindness
Don't be racist show compassion for all the good reasons
Just remember what I'm telling you
Don't forget what your reading too
This is what our country's coming to
Do you hear the cry's of the family's
All the encountered tragedy's
Do you hear the cry's of the world yet?
Don't worry just step back and take a breath
Just grab someone next to you and start being jubilant
Celebrate the life that you have don't be oblivious
Showing love isn't hard, simply show you care
And don't lie, just be fare
And our people won't have no more nightmares
You can only count on me and you
