From Me to You

Dear You, Words are precious packets of information, Universal puzzle pieces that only hold meaning in our minds, Transferring ideas, Peeking through the blinds, to experience the reality of another. We share for ourselves, Listen to no one, Hiding behind screens, Fear the shun. Stifling the screams, Stacked on the shelves, Of the library inside your head. A hero emerges, A wise man learns to speak, As loud as the rest, No tongue in cheek. He opens the library, Showing books that are true, A universal non-fiction, On a day to rue. One passage reads: A fearful place, More mouths than ears, "The world is mine", Everyone jeers. We are all right, No one knows for sure, We are all wrong, No everlasting cure. A lesson in humility, A final plea, Heed these words, From Me.
