The me in you

Physical makeup not much it shows,
An outer shell, our genetic vault,
A tool of beauty or disguise,
Never our truths does it reveal,
What lies beneath our earthly mask,
Only those, with key to mind,
The truth of others, they shall find,
The who we are, deep inside,
We reveal only, with those who share,
A simple touch can spark the trust,
We show our traits and thoughts as well,
Only with those whom with the bond is met
